The Lectrosonics UM700 Encrypted Digital Wireless UHF Belt Pack Transmitter

The Lectrosonics UM700 Encrypted Digital Wireless UHF Belt Pack Transmitter is a rugged design for use with any microphone or line level signal. The design provides a combination of CD quality audio and secure encryption for applications requiring a high level of security. The audio quality is perfectly at home in the most demanding studio or stage environments, and the true cryptography is ideal for security needs in corporate, government and other applications.

The DSP controlled dual-envelope limiter in the UM700 input cleanly handles signal peaks up to 30 dB above full modulation. The audio is then sampled at 44.1 kHz with a 24-bit A-D converter using a proprietary DSP algorithm to generate a high quality data stream. This unique processing chain eliminates a compandor and its artifacts to reveal an amazing amount of detail and clarity. The obvious absence of distortion and noise creates what some call a “lack of character.” It sounds, in fact, like a hard-wired cable.

    CONSUMER ALERT
Most users do not need a license to operate a wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating a microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change. For more information, call the FCC at 1-888- CALL-FCC (TTY: 1-888-TELL-FCC) or visit the FCC’s wireless microphone website at www.fcc.gov/cgb/wirelessmicrophones.
